Must apologise for the delay in writing this. In January quite a large party of us descended on the avalon for my birthday, we had a brilliant time and would like to thank all at the avalon for making us welcolme, all the staff and also the regulars were really friendly, both my wife Pam and myself, and the rest of our group would like say thanks for a great few days, we will try and get back for the 'rally'. Would definately stay here again and would reccomend the Avalon to anyone whether a biker or not. Hope to see you in the not too distant future , all the best from John Pam, and all the rest of our party CHEERS.

The Avalon is a canny place to stay, and I am really looking forward to see Michael and Kathleen again in February. The best place to stay for me when I come over to visit my marras in the Shields and Walker Gate.

Thanks for your more than generous hospitality over our christmas 2007 stay. Feel like we kinda made new friends and really are looking forward to visiting you all again during 2008. Have a brilliant new years do - we'll be partying too in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire and wishing everyone we met at The Avalon all the best for 2008. Also glad you don't think we're 'slavveras' as Mick put it!
